“The Fox River Grove Harbor Team is a nonprofit boating club, setup for Village residents to enjoy the Fox River - adjacent to beautiful Lions Park. In addition to having fun, the club maintains the Harbor, volunteers for Village events, annually donates to the Village fireworks fund – and most importantly, restores the Fox River shoreline within the Village limits. Harbor Team membership is open only to Village residents.”

The Harbor land was platted in 1906 as a beach lot for people in the Fox River Grove subdivision. Sometime between 1906 and 1950 this property was misused as a dump to the point it was described as “the dump”.
